Should your animal fall ill during the night or at the weekend, telephone the practice. This number is answered by a member of the team 24 hours a day. We can provide advice or arrange for one of our vets to see your animal. Bear in mind the person answering your call in the middle of the night may be at home, asleep. Please use the out-of-hours line in true emergencies only.
We are committed to providing a first class service to our farm animal clients and their animals. Most work is arranged by appointment, while we also provide a year round, 24 hour emergency service. We are continuely investing in our farm animal service, this year we have purchased a cattle pelvimetry device and bull electroejaculator to enable us to help maximise the fertility of your cattle herd.
This is some of what we offer:
If you are interested in joining our practice please give us a call. One of the partners will be happy to fix a time to come and chat about how we can help your business to thrive.

In addition to standard pregnancy diagnosis we are also able to investigate sub-fertility, lack of return to oestrus and pregnancy related disease. Synchronisation programmes for cows can be tailored to your management system. We are also able to perform bull breeding soundness examinations.
Should you have concerns about the performance of your stock we are able to carry out nutritional investigations. We combine our local knowledge with that of specialist laboratories and nutritionists to get to the bottom of any problems encountered on our clients’ farms.
We now use the excellent facilities at Leam Lodge, Cusop for lambing ewes and some other farm animal procedures.

There are always two vets on-call, meaning we are able to provide prompt and efficient service whatever the hour. The practice telephone number is diverted to a partner at home out-of-hours, meaning whoever answers the phone will be able to provide instant advice and get a vet to you quickly.
All our vets attend continuing professional development (CPD) regularly. The courses vary from training on specific topics (e.g. mastitis control) to conferences discussing a range of issues.
Between us, the vets are members of the following professional organisations:
Each vet has their own field of interest (you can get an idea from our mini C.V.s on the 'Meet the Team' page of the website), in their if you have something weird and wonderful for us to see then let the receptionist know and we’ll do our best to direct you to the right person.
